A peaceful place where you can enjoy simple living, close to nature.
Exclusively for one group of up to four people.

The Midsummer Retreat is a relaxed and peaceful camp surrounded by nature. It accommodates up to four people & is for your exclusive use.
The Summer Kitchen and Sleeping Space are hand finished, natural, wooden and canvas structures, designed as light and airy spaces in order to be as close to nature as possible. They have been carefully crafted using Ash, Oak and Hazel from our woodland hillside.

Completed in 2014, the living space is furnished with French vintage finds, and provides 26m2 of cooking, dining and lounging open-fronted space. The kitchen area is equipped with cooker, fridge/freezer, an eclectic mix of pots and pans, and a table and chairs for four.

The front of the Summer Kitchen has drop down canvas sides but can also be completely open, allowing you to be at one with the surroundings as much as possible.
There is also a comfortable lounging area for lolling about when it gets too hot to run around outside.

The Sleeping Space is based on a traditional Yurt & Gerr design. A circular panel of canvas can be opened in the center of roof allowing you to lie back in bed and watch the stars. The sleeping space has a wooden floor decorated with antique tribal rugs, a comfortable double bed, and a sofa/daybed which can be turned into one or two single beds for children.

There are books on local walking routes, wildlife, travel and other subjects to read, games to play, and mosquito nets in case you need them.

All bed linen, towels and natural soaps are provided (but please bring your own beach towels).

Our Bathroom is a self contained space and has a large shower, a hand basin and a proper flushing toilet. It also features recycled 16th century terracotta floor tiles found in an ancient forge along the river aveyron gorge.

The camp is tucked away in a private and peaceful location and the only traffic you're likely to see is the odd passing tractor.

There are endless walks to go on, and ancient stone villages with crumbling castles to explore.
Children will love the closeness to nature where they can let their hair down and run wild outside, discovering lizards and cicadas and collecting eggs from our free range chickens.
